O.C.L.A. reads O CLÃ (literally “the clan” in Portuguese). This band from South Brazil is bringing out a very expressive “sound” of hip-hop. With elaborate (live) piano performances by keyboardist and band leader Pedro DOM along MC Feijão and also featuring MCs from their locally underground scene, the guys are already dragging eyes and ears to their work.

I was invited by MC and keyboardist Pedro DOM to join in and contribute in some of the tracks. Most of the recordings so far are as rough as demos, which gives an exciting edge to it – in fact they didn’t imagine (nor intended) that the mixing process could take these home made recordings into a professional, bang on radio level. So. Here’s the first one of them.
